The company has been offering custom software development services since 2004. In 2007 the company moved to Thailand and started hiring more employees in order to serve the growing demand from our clients.

Manao Growth 2007 To 2018

2004: Christopher Mosses establishes the consultancy company Software Consult in Denmark with the aim to provide custom software development services directly to clients in Denmark. Clients include major pharmaceutical companies, SMEs, and individuals. The company is a success, consistently earning a profit and growing the client portfolio primarily by word of mouth and recommendations.
2006: Christopher Mosses travels to Thailand and Chiang Mai to investigate the possibilities of setting up a custom software development company in Thailand, consulting with lawyers and accountants. It is determined that it is a feasible venture.
2007: Manao Software is incorporated in Thailand by Christopher Mosses. The purpose of the company is to be the operational center for Software Consult in order to benefit from the lower cost of labor in comparison to Denmark. Software Consult remains the company that local Danish clients deal with, while clients from other countries deal with Manao Software. After a brief startup period as a one-man company, the company begins to employ Thai programmers. Marketing is efforts are expanded to include advertising on the internet, by phone, and by email. The company remains successful and continues to consistently make a profit.
2008: Manao Software becomes a Microsoft Certified Partner, which is achieved by having enough Microsoft Certified Professionals on staff and completing enough successful Microsoft based custom software development projects. At this point the company employs 7 staff and continues to make a profit. The client portfolio has expanded to include clients in the USA, Japan, Middle East, Europe, and still includes many clients in Denmark.
2010: Manao Software applies for BOI (Board of Investment) promotion. The company employs 9 staff (the Managing Director Christopher Mosses and 8 Thai staff) and continues to make a profit.
2011: Manao Software is awarded BOI promotion and grows to employ 15 staff. The largest Non-Profit Organization in Thailand, International Rescue Committee, awards a major project to Manao Software. The service offerings are expanded to include mobile app development, with a focus on iOS devices like the iPhone and iPad.
2012: Manao Software continues to expand its business and currently employs 26 staff. Notably The World Health Organization is added to the growing list of clients. A tabletennis table and football table are added to the break room.
2013: Manao Software grows to 36 employees. More focus is placed on dedicated teams of developers for clients in Europe and the US, and the company becomes the subcontractor for the AppMover mobile business app platform. 
2014: Manao Software grows to 44 employees and achieves Microsoft Gold Certified Partner status, proving our expertise and competencies on the Microsoft ASP.NET platform. The development staff is supplemented with mobile app programmers for iOS and Android. The Danish company Software Consult is converted to Manao Software ApS to streamline the company brand.
2015: Manao Software sees stable, sustainable growth, while focusing on improving internal processes for projects and HR. Employees are given more benefits to further strengthen our reputation as being the best IT workplace in Chiang Mai. Added benefits include private health insurance, annual health checkups, three extra holidays, and free fruit juices and health drinks at the office.
2016: Manao Software increases the focus on mobile app development with more and more projects using a variety of tools and frameworks such as Cordova, Ionic, and Xamarin, in addition to native iOS and Android projects. The company continues to grow, especially the Mobile Development department. Further employee benefits are introduced, notably a Provident Fund for retirement savings and planning.
2017: We passed the milestone of having over 50 full time employees. A full HR department is established to strengthen our recruiting efforts and ensure the best work environment and benefits in Chiang Mai, so that we can continue growing.
2018: Our growth continues, this year with a focus on using React Native as our preferred cross-platform mobile app development framework, while phasing out previously used frameworks. We started our popular open meetups for the tech community of Chiang Mai, hosting tech talks with subjects like "React Native" and "Large Scale Angular" to give back to the community.
