How Manao Software Integrates AI Tools to Improve UX/UI Workflows

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping many areas of software development—and UX/UI design is no exception. At Manao Software, we don’t see AI as a replacement for designers, but as a set of tools that enhances our process and helps us work more efficiently, make better decisions, and stay focused on solving real user problems.

This topic was at the heart of our recent event, Manao Mashup #5: “When AI Joins the UX Design Team.” In this article, we share how AI tools can support different stages of the UX/UI process—from ideation to usability testing—based on how our team works.

1. Ideation & Brainstorming: Exploring Ideas More Efficiently

Early-stage ideation can often be time-consuming, especially when teams are working to align on user needs and product direction. To support this phase, we suggest using AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude to help generate:

  • Feature ideas
  • User personas
  • Journey maps
  • Initial product concepts

These tools aren’t a substitute for design thinking—but they can help accelerate early exploration. For visual layout generation, plugins like Magician and Genius in Figma can also assist in drafting quick wireframes from concept prompts.

2. UX Content Writing: Accelerating Microcopy and Messaging

Writing UX content—whether onboarding instructions, CTAs, or error messages—can slow down design sprints. Tools such as ChatGPT, Jasper, and Magician may be helpful for drafting:

  • Microcopy
  • Placeholder text
  • Tooltips and contextual guidance

These drafts should always be reviewed by a UX writer or designer, but AI can offer a useful starting point to streamline the process.

3. UI Layout Generation: Rapid Screen Exploration

When speed is important—such as during early prototyping or client alignment sessions—AI-powered tools like Relume, UIZard, Galileo, and Visily can be used to:

  • Generate UI layouts from text prompts
  • Convert basic sketches into high-fidelity screens
  • Explore multiple layout options quickly

This approach enables faster iterations without compromising on the quality of early-stage design.

4. Prototyping & Interaction: Building Clickable Flows

Interactive prototypes help bring ideas to life. In addition to Figma’s built-in prototyping features, teams may benefit from using tools like UIZard, Galileo, or Visily to transform static designs into interactive prototypes.

This can support:

  • Early validation of user flows
  • Faster feedback loops
  • Clearer communication with developers and stakeholders

It’s a practical way to move from design to testable experiences more efficiently.

5. Usability Testing: Insight-Driven Improvements

Gathering user feedback is essential, but interpreting results can take time. Maze, with AI-enabled reporting, is a tool we recommend for usability testing. It can:

  • Automate the analysis of test sessions
  • Generate structured usability reports
  • Highlight key improvement areas

This helps design teams act on insights without spending hours on manual analysis.

6. User Research & Analysis: Making Sense of Qualitative Data

User research can generate a wealth of valuable input, but reviewing transcripts and identifying trends can be time-intensive. To support this, tools like ChatGPT and Claude may be used to:

  • Summarise interview transcripts
  • Identify recurring patterns
  • Assist in organising findings into actionable insights

This can help UX teams remain user-focused while maintaining efficiency.

A Balanced Approach: Human-Centred, AI-Assisted

At Manao Software, we value clarity, empathy, and well-researched design. AI is not a shortcut—it’s a complementary resource that, when used well, allows teams to deliver thoughtful, user-centred digital experiences more effectively.

We suggest integrating AI tools where they offer meaningful value—always guided by experienced designers who understand the context, goals, and users involved.
